Near the start of the game when Artyom is escaping from the prison, enter the airlock and press the lever for the lift with Pavel to descend. All I can suggest is live a good life and try not to sin too much, and you should have no problems getting to the end of this game.Sc6jd02: Playing Last Light Redux. So yeah, I guess my post isn't going to be very helpful for anyone else looking for help. At the far end of the den is a set of stairs leading up, and about five feet away from the top of those stairs (where a nosalis is munching on a dude and you literally can't sneak past it unless it's dead) are the two damned webs that seemed to carry some kind of software emp in them.Īlso yes, I reloaded the chapter more than once from the chapter select menu last night, that's what I meant when I said I replayed the chapter from the beginning, I guess I should have been more specific. You've seen the little underground structure and heard gunshots coming from it, you went down the little gondola thing, and the very first set of wooden stairs you come to leads to the nosalis den I was mentioning. To answer Jig's question, I believe it's the location immediately preceeding the elevator. No clue why, but I must have appeased the big man up top by mowing my lawn earlier today or something, because now I was able to get past it by starting the chapter over once more. So, it turns out all I needed to do was wait for a day and then play through the chapter from the beginning again. Thanks again for any and all responses, I hope someone will be able to make something out of this Graphics - GTX GE970 (for all the lovely stars in Star Citizen) Processor - Intel Core i7-4790K CPU 4.00GHz (for that Star Citizen) Ranger Hardcore and Survival (sure, it's my first playthrough, but I'm just hardcore like that) Game specs: 1920X1080 (When not in safe mode, of course) If some lovely and benevolent computing deity has figured out how I can go about completing my holy quest the likes of which Jake and Elwood could only dream of, I would be ever so thankful, and I would owe you at least twenty horns of military grade bullets. I played through the original Metro: Last Light (not the Redux version) on PC and I had no problem at all, but now apparently this is going on for me and a bunch of other people. It's strange, I've gotten pretty far so far and this is the first issue I've had with it. ![]() From what I've seen in the first few pages of this thread and from what I've seen online, this does kinda seem to be a bit of a common occurence in this game - not on this level per se, but the crashing in general. Maybe there's some kind of file I can modify, or something I could try to download? Maybe I just need to keep trying over and over, again and again, praying that somebody up there will take pity on me and decide I've served my time for all my sins. But yeah, it should go without saying that I've validated files, I've restarted the chapter from the beginning, I've killed everything in the room, I've killed nothing in the room and just booked it, I've burnt the webs, I've run through the webs, I've tried to find little sweet spots in the webs that will let me pass, and I've done all of this both within and not within safe mode.Īny advice would be super helpful at this point. As soon as I touch the spiderwebs, the game black screens and I see myself looking at my desktop, wondering if Artyom is ever going to find Anna and the Dark One, and if Homer and Hunter are ever going to - oh wait, that's the novel, sorry. Once you start ascending the stairs at the far end of the room to progress, there's a nosalis right at the top of the stairs that you have to kill with a silenced headshot if you want to progress through the part stealthily.ĪAAANYWAYS, once I get up the stairs at the far end of the room, I start to continue on, and right next to this is a little corridor with two spiderwebs. At the back left there's a little dead body next to a dead nosalis, and walking close to it will give you a morale point screen flash thingy. ![]() At this particular point you have to go down some stairs into their little den, and get to the stairs on the far side. At a certain point in the Catacombs level you encounter about five nosalises (three normal ones and two sonic batlike ones) munching away on a bunch of dead guys. ![]()
